Did you know that as of 2024, breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers globally? According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 8 women (13%) will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives. Breast cancer can also affect men, but is much more rare with approximately 1 in 833 diagnosed.

It's safe to say that when we hear a diagnosis, whether it is from a friend, family member, or even if we hear the diagnosis ourselves; the first thing that comes to mind isn’t how our skin is going to hold up through the treatment process. Both chemotherapy and radiation cause severe trauma to our skin cells in their appearance and how they function.
